You’ve likely heard the phrase, “Every body is a beach body,” right? Still, navigating the summer can be challenging. This week, Fashion is publishing All Bodies Are Beach Bodies—A Realistic Guide to Preparing for Summer to help you hold on to your confidence, embrace joyful movement, manage sweat, make meaningful memories, and find major swimsuit inspiration all summer long.

Let’s be honest: Even with as far as we’ve come within the body-positive and self-love movements, it still can be a challenge to find swimwear that fits well beyond straight sizes. Thankfully, some brands have taken a keen interest in this gap and launched collections to help fill it to the brim. Whether you’re in the market for a cut-out monokini, high-neck one-piece, or cheeky high-waisted bikini, ahead you’ll find six brands worth shopping for swim ahead of summer 2022.

Girlfriend Collective

Ever since launching in 2017, Girlfriend Collective has been a fan-favorite place to shop for sustainable, size-inclusive activewear. What started primarily as leggings and bras has since evolved into intimates, accessories, and, in 2021, swim. Like all of the clothing Girlfriend Collective sells, the brand’s swim line includes a variety of different styles and cuts in sizes XXS-6XL. Unlike some brands that offer extended sizes but maintain straight size models, Girlfriend Collective goes the extra step to show its SKUs on bodies of all shapes, sizes, and colors, making it a particularly joyous place to shop.

Shop a few of our favorites:

Marina Palma Plunge One Piece — $95.00 Sea Lake High Rise Bikini Bottom — $45.00 Provence Isla Wrap Tie One Piece — $95.00

Summersalt

Although Summersalt is now known for its variety of high-quality, size-inclusive clothing across multiple categories, back in 2017 it launched with a focus on body-positive swim, encompassing sizes XS-3X. The brand doesn’t only sell a wide selection of sizes, though—they go a step further by creating body-positive campaigns to encourage shoppers to love their bodies as they are. Summer 2022 marks the third iteration of the brand’s famous Every Body is a Summersalt Body campaign, which promotes self-love, no matter your size, shape, age, or abilities.

Shop a few of our favorites:

The Sidestroke — $95.00 The Ruffle Backflip — $95.00 The Perfect Wrap One-Piece — $95.00

Good American

Khloé Kardashian founded Good American in 2016 in an effort to bring top-notch denim to the masses. After being met with major support for her 00-24 size range, she expanded Good American to include swim in 2020. As with all the GA denim campaigns, Khloé makes it a point to show all of the swim SKUS on a diverse array of models. And the collection’s tagline only drives her point home further: “Designed for every size and every shape because we love your curves.”

Shop a few of our favorites:

In doing so, they launched a variety of one-pieces and separates in sizes XS-XXXL, many of which have garnered hundreds of 5-star reviews.

CUUP

CUUP launched with a mission to make women feel more comfortable in and supported by their bras and undies. Naturally, fans of the brand immediately snagged the water-friendly counterparts, which are sold in separates, with bottoms from XS-XXXL and bra tops up to size 38H. Suffice to say, if your goal is to find the most support for your bust, CUUP has you covered.

Eloquii is one of, if not the most popular, plus-size retailers on the market. The brand launched in 2012 in an effort to bring more stylish plus-size options to an often-drab market. In the 10 years since then, the brand’s clothing has become iconic on social media and is even seen regularly on Kate in episodes of This Is Us. A good pair of jeans is a staple in everyone’s wardrobe, but soft jeans are the best jeans (IMO). Whatever color, style, or cut, they are easy to dress up, or down, travel in, lounge in, dance in, and work in. That said, after two years spent working from the kitchen table (or couch), the appeal of going back to wearing “hard pants” is slim to none. To limit the amount of convincing it’ll take to swap your fleece-lined leggings and sweatpants for a pair of jeans, we’ve rounded up the softest pairs of jeans in every style that feel as close to wearing loungewear as you can get.

The best part about finding a soft pair of jeans is that you limit the risk of chafing. Chafing occurs as a result of “any combination of friction, moisture, and irritating fabric. Prolonged rubbing on the skin makes your skin sting or burn, and you develop a mild, red rash,” explains Harold Lancer, MD, board certified dermatologist. These comfy jeans have the perfect amount of breathability and stretch that will help avoid chafing while still maintaining a fitted style that is oh-so-flattering on every body type. We’ve done the testing so you don’t have to. Scroll down to shop the softest jeans out there in every cut and color.

The softest jeans in every cut

Best tapered jean: ASKET The Standard Jean — $150.00

If you’re on the hunt for a jean that’s not as baggy as a “mom” jean, not as tight as a skinny, and pairs perfectly with boots, we’ve found it. This tapered leg jean is timeless and has the perfect amount of stretch. Made of Italian denim, these have made the transition from leggings to “hard pants” pretty bearable.

Shop now Best baggy jean: Revice Denim Super 80s/TLC — $94.00

These ’80s-’90s inspired jeans have a relaxed fit all the way through that makes them feel just like sweatpants while actually being “hard pants.” What we love about these is that they’re still form fitting at the waist and butt, so you can continue to show off all the good stuff.

Shop now Best low-rise jean: EB Denim Vintage Low Rise Jean — $260.00

Looking for the perfect low-rise (yes, we said low-rise) jean to pair with a cropped sweater? These jeans are for you, then. The 100 percent cotton style is machine washable, starts out soft, and will only get softer with every cycle.

Shop now Best high-rise jeans: Ksubi Playback Kosmic Jeans — $260.00

This relaxed pair is perfect for weekend adventuring. The distressed ripped style is ideally comfortable and breathable but still effortlessly cool, and the high-rise fit is supremely flattering.

Shop now Best ripped jean: AE77 Loose Denim — $188.00

This loose, ripped pair has a laid back, vintage look that makes you want to wear them daily. But the best part is that they are sustainably made, making them eco-conscious on top of being super stylish.

Shop now Best bootcut jean: DL1961 Rachel Flare — $199.00

IMO, flared jeans never went out of style. These ’70s inspired jeans are sculpting and flattering on every body type, while also having the perfect amount of stretch that make them ideal for boogieing the night away.

Shop now Best tailored jeans: Nocturne Pleated Jean — $108.00

These high-waisted jeans just look fancy—but they’re still comfortable! The pleated detail elevates the look while the relaxed fit makes them comfy enough to wear all day.

Shop now Best vintage: Madewell The Perfect Vintage Jean in Denman Wash — $90.00

If you’re in the market for a jean that is always, always consistent, look no further than Madewell, home of comfy, well-fitted denim. These vintage-inspired straight leg jeans are made of 99 percent cotton and 1 percent elastane Orta denim, which gives them the perfect amount of stretch without losing all shape two hours into wearing them. The ankle-length inseam makes these a perfect pair for boots, and we love the timeless light blue wash.

Best straight jean: WHBM High-Rise Sculpt Destructed Straight Jeans — $84.00

Straight jeans are a staple in anyone’s wardrobe. This black pair can be dressed up or down and is made with a 360-degree stretch fabric that is both lifting and oh-so-soft.

Shop now Best wash: Lucky High Rise Stevie Flare Jean — $99.00

The Lucky jeans from your high school days are just as good as ever, and we can’t stop wearing these Stevie flares, which hug us in all the right places, are perfectly high waisted, give us room the breathe, and feel soft and comfortable (we’ve spent many a day on the couch rewatching SATC in these, and we can report back that we forgot we were wearing jeans). Aside from the classic flare cut (great for sneakers and boots), we love the wash. It’s a muted blue with hints of grey that’s perfect year-round.

Best jean shorts: Still Here Sunset Cut Off Short — $265.00

Escaping the cold this winter? These colorful shorts are unique and the perfect level of relaxed that you won’t have to worry about any chafing or uncomfortable pulling.

Shop now Best jean jumpsuit: Warp+Weft ATH Jumpsuit — $118.00

If you’re looking to mix up your denim wardrobe, this jumpsuit is just the ticket. Since it’s a one-piece, it makes getting dressed easy, and the mid-weight denim is soft and stretchy while still being structured. The only downside is peeing in a public bathroom. Still can’t get over the initial temperature shock and just casually being naked in a stall.

Shop now Best A-line jean: Lady Lee A-Line Jean — $98.00

This bootcut pair is hip-hugging and high-rise at the top and flared at the bottom for the perfect vintage look. The worn-denim look and stretchy feel make the pair feel like butter to pull on.

Shop now Best skinny jean: Good American Good Legs Jean — $129.00

Skinny jeans may have had their time in the press lately, but they are nothing if not classic. This pair is sculpting but also so stretchy, and they really do feel like your favorite pair of black leggings.

Shop now Best colorful jean: Lisa Says Gah Robyn Jean — $159.00

Whomever said that jeans have to be blue was sorely mistaken. This bright, patterned pair makes a statement while still being fun to wear.

Here’s Why Derms Love Mindy Kaling’s Swimsuit of Choice https://neeir.com/heres-why-derms-love-mindy-kalings-swimsuit-of-choice/ https://neeir.com/heres-why-derms-love-mindy-kalings-swimsuit-of-choice/#respond Mon, 23 Sep 2024 02:42:51 +0000 https://neeir.com/heres-why-derms-love-mindy-kalings-swimsuit-of-choice/ Although summer may be coming to a close, the hunt for a good swimsuit never really ends. And if your closet could use a some chic swimwear in time for Labor Day Weekend, you should take a page out of Mindy Kaling’s book. (Not her literal books—in this case, her Instagram account.)

When it comes to trend-setting and elegant styles, the actress, producer, and author extraordinaire is no stranger to gorgeous outfits. From her red carpet looks to everyday outfits, the Never Have I Ever creator seems to have mastered the art of the sophisticated-yet-fun wardrobe. Just scroll through her comment section on Instagram and you’ll find message after message of people asking, “brand?” or “store?” in reference to her clothes, hoping to get some pointers. And this week, it was her bathing suit that really piqued people’s curiosity.

On Sunday, the actress posted a picture of herself wearing a stunning floral long-sleeve swimsuit. To which fans immediately responded with a flood of fire ball emojis and questions about where to swipe the look. The answer is  La Doublej, a hip lifestyle brand known for its eye-catching prints and curated Italian-inspired aesthetic. The suit features a high neckline and a cut-out back.

But it wasn’t just the fab print and fit that caught fans’ attention. Kaling also pointed out the importance of sun-safe clothing in the caption saying, “Sometimes there’s nothing more chic than some good UV protection in your swimsuit. My dermatologist @shereeneidriss would agree.” Although it’s not clear if the suit has UVB protection (the retailer doesn’t include this information, so the fabric may not officially have UVB protection), Kaling’s caption did receive a nod and approval from her dermatologist in the comment section.

La Doublej Floral Long-Sleeve Swimsuit — $380.00

Made in Italy, this long-sleeve swimsuit is the perfect way to elevate your swimwear with its high quality and bold floral pattern.

While UVB protection is common for facial skin-care products, it’s also something you can find in your clothing. Retailers often will label swimwear and other similar styles with a UPF rating to help give you an idea of how much sun protection you’ll get during your poolside hangout and trip to the beach. For example, if a piece of clothing has a rating of UPF 50, it means that the fabric can block 98 percent of the sun’s rays, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation. It’s something that board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Melanie Palm, MD, says is “a quick and reliable and no-mess way to protect skin during outside and/or water activities.”

“UPF measures the ability of clothing weaves/fibers/fabrics to block UVB exposure to the skin,” says Palm. “It is a great way to protect large areas of the skin. Look for UPF 50 or more as a standard. For extra credit, I still wear sunscreen under my UPF clothing for more complete skin protection.”

At the same time, even if your clothes don’t have UVB protection, they still may provide some defense against the sun’s harsh rays (such as Kaling’s swimsuit). You just have to careful about choosing the right colors, according to Joshua Zeichner, MD, an associate professor of dermatology and the director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

“Tight knit, dark colored fabrics are best at protecting you,” says Zeicher. “Light color, loose knits like linen, on the other hand, provide minimal protection. As a test, hold the clothing up to the sun. If you can see the sun through the garment then it is not going to do a good job at protecting your skin.”

And if you’re looking for a rash guard or long-sleeved swimsuit, we’ve already rounded up some our favorites.

Can you wear out your Birkenstocks, or are they totally invincible? A podiatrist weighs in. https://neeir.com/can-you-wear-out-your-birkenstocks-or-are-they-totally-invincible-a-podiatrist-weighs-in/ https://neeir.com/can-you-wear-out-your-birkenstocks-or-are-they-totally-invincible-a-podiatrist-weighs-in/#respond Thu, 19 Sep 2024 22:35:48 +0000 https://neeir.com/can-you-wear-out-your-birkenstocks-or-are-they-totally-invincible-a-podiatrist-weighs-in/ I don’t like feet. I am heavily grossed out whenever people post pictures of their pedicures or whatever on Instagram stories—like, I’m gonna need you to give me a warning so that I can skip your stories for the rest of eternity. This is also probably why I have such strong thoughts about flip flops (and sandals in general, TBH). But weirdly enough, I have been convinced that I definitely need a pair of Birkenstocks. Without a doubt these shoes are ugly, but are they also kind of… secretly cute? Team W+G has differing opinions about this, to say the least.

So how did this happen? I am still asking myself this question. Did I suddenly become someone who chooses practicality over aesthetics? (I can hear my entire family LOL-ing as I type this.) My motivation to live la vida Birks isn’t totally clear, but I can tell you that podiatrists love these shoes. “The bottom of your feet is a very small surface area and it, and it supports everything above it, so the more we can stabilize your foundation, the better,” says Dr. Cary Gannon, podiatric surgeon and founder of Aila Cosmetics. “It’s like the foundation of your home—you build the foundation of your home at a cinderblock because it’s got to support everything above it. So if you think of the Birkenstock like a nice supportive foundation, it actually is an incredible shoe.”

And when I asked her if you can wear Birkenstocks out to the point where you’re no longer getting this level of support, she said it would be difficult—especially because you can get them resoled. “I have never worn out a pair of Birkenstocks,” she tells me. “I’m actually wearing the white ones right now,” she says. (She confirmed this after we get off the phone by sending a photo. This photo also solidified my decision to buy a pair.)

If your Birks are getting worn down, the brand offers specialized repairs—including heel, toe tab and complete sole replacements—so that you could rock the same pair virtually forever. As a general rule, the company suggests swapping out your soles when you can no longer see the tread patterns, which can help you hold onto them pretty much forever. In case you need proof: A deep dive into some online forums about Birkenstocks confirms that many people have owned theirs for years, and the longest period of time I came across was 15 years.

So, yes—you can hold onto your Birkenstocks for as long as it will take for them to go out of style… and then somehow come back into it again.

When shopping for your Birks, make sure you get the right size. (For foot health reasons.) And don’t wear them with socks. (For general aesthetic reasons.)

These Are the Best Slippers To Wear if You Get Sweaty Feet Easily https://neeir.com/these-are-the-best-slippers-to-wear-if-you-get-sweaty-feet-easily/ https://neeir.com/these-are-the-best-slippers-to-wear-if-you-get-sweaty-feet-easily/#respond Thu, 19 Sep 2024 08:12:11 +0000 https://neeir.com/these-are-the-best-slippers-to-wear-if-you-get-sweaty-feet-easily/ With the Fashion SHOP, our editors put their years of know-how to work in order to pick products (from skin care to self care and beyond) they’re betting you’ll love. If you’re looking for the best slippers for sweaty feet, you’ve absolutely come to the right place. Few things are worse than getting sweaty feet, thanks to slippers. It’s not pretty—between the damp fabric, cave-like humidity, and smell (oof, the smell…) it’s enough to make you never want to wear the things again. After all, slippers are supposed to be more comfortable, not make you feel like your feet are in a Slip N’ Slide. (And if you’re looking for slippers with arch support, we’ve got some great recs, too.)

If you’re about to give up on slippers, don’t. I promise—there are slippers that won’t leave you soaked and stinky. You just need to know what to look for.

As New York City-based dermatologist Dendy Engelman, MD, previously explained to us, a lot of the reasons why our feet sweat so much has to do with the materials of our footwear. “Your socks and shoes should help the foot ‘breathe,’ and certain materials will absorb moisture instead of trapping it against the skin,” Dr. Engelman said. “Look for cotton and avoid polyester or lycra. Sandals will allow moisture to evaporate, as opposed to boots or leather shoes that trap in moisture.”

While trendy shearling booties and knee-high slipper socks might look comfortable, they might make you feel like the Creature From the Black Lagoon. Instead, aim for fabric like cotton, wool (which is breathable), or terry cloth that’s lightweight and sweet on the feet. Sweat-wicking is good, too, because when moisture gets trapped in the fabric is when things really get funky. As for styles, skip out on the booties—slides, mules, and even thongs should give you better airflow.

Give sweaty feet a break with footwear that’s comfy and built-to-breathe. Here are the best slippers for sweaty feet.

Using a glasses chain as a mask holder is a genius hack https://neeir.com/using-a-glasses-chain-as-a-mask-holder-is-a-genius-hack/ https://neeir.com/using-a-glasses-chain-as-a-mask-holder-is-a-genius-hack/#respond Mon, 16 Sep 2024 21:21:32 +0000 https://neeir.com/using-a-glasses-chain-as-a-mask-holder-is-a-genius-hack/ As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise across the country, it’s still just as important as ever to wear your mask when you’re in public. Even knowing that, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked outside just to run back into the house to grab my mask. But, this granny-approved hack makes forgetting your mask impossible.

Glasses chains have already been making a steady comeback and many have started to repurpose the chains as a mask holder.

When using a glasses chain as a mask holder, the goal isn’t to make it easier to take off in public—it should stay on when you’re out and about and you wouldn’t want to contaminate the inside by walking around with it exposed. (And be sure to wash it after every trip outside). But when you’re in your own space, a chain makes it much easier to keep your mask handy. Alison Freer wrote for The Strategist that getting a glasses chain for her mask was one of the best purchases she’s made in months.

“I keep my mask chain around my neck all day long, even when I’m just at home,” says Freer. “It’s saved me on more than one occasion when a delivery person rang the doorbell, needing a signature for a package—and it’s an elegant-looking accessory to add to your current stack of layered necklaces.”

In order for a glasses chain to work for your mask, it must utilize clips, hooks, or some other type of hardware that opens so you can attach it to your mask. Chains with just a rubber loop won’t cut it. If you don’t have a chain on hand to repurpose, there are tons of brands you can shop instead. Browse some options below.

Chains as mask holders

1. Éliou Samos Sunglasses Leash, $180

This luxe chain is made with freshwater pearl and gold-plated clips, and is 100 percent handcrafted.

2. Pretty Connected Lara Gold Chain Multi-use Mask Strap, $36

Available in gold and silver, this multi-use strap comes and can be used to hold anything from your mask to your water bottle.

3. ATLanyards Beaded Eyeglass Holder, $12

Go bold with this orange chain.

4. Sigonna Metal Glasses Chain Set, $22

This three-piece pack provides you with options. Choose between onyx, gold, and silver depending on your mood or share your purchase with friends.

5. DiscoChains SunChain, $36

This adorable sunny yellow chain will add a pop of color and a touch of whimsy to your look. Keep in mind that the hook is quite small so if your mask has wide straps it may not fit.

6. Lele Sadoughi Jet Water Lily Sunglass Chain, $75

Made from 14k gold-plated fine cable link chain and jet acetate water lily cutouts, this chain could be jewelry on its own. Us the lobster clasps to hook it on your mask.

7. my my my Bowey Sunglass Chain, $34

Cute and colorful, this chain is perfect to pair with your mask—just note that the hook is small, so wider mask straps will have a harder time.

8. Donni Acetate Mask/Sunny Chain, $88

Go for a chunkier look with this acetate chain by Donni. Use it with your sunnies by attaching the plastic loop.

9. ATLanyards Eyeglass Necklace with Silver Clips, $12

This chain will take you back to the days of friendship bracelet making.

10. Ron’s Optical Eyeglass Chain Holder, $20

Keep it simple with this gold chain. Note the small clasps, though. (You know the drill—needs smaller mask straps.)

(Seriously.) We now have our pick of zip-front options, bold patterns and colors, and long-line crops that double as going-out tops, all of which are way more comfortable, cute, and supportive than their predecessors from even 10 years ago. But the latest addition to the elevated sports-bra boom is one that feels a little counterintuitive from a performance perspective: single-shoulder styles.

I first noticed this look on a few of my favorite fitness app trainers, and I was instantly shook. How were they avoiding nip slips as they cycled through burpees and Arnold presses? Could one shoulder sports bras possibly hold up boobs that are bigger than an A-cup? And wouldn’t that one strap dig into the shoulder, given that it’s doing the work of two?

To find out, I reached out to Avocado activewear—the brand responsible for the one-shoulder Mercury bra ($50) I kept seeing onscreen during my at-home workouts. Although it may look like a flash-in-the-pan trend piece, creative director Jessica Laursen says the Mercury is actually part of Avocado’s core assortment and is a firm customer favorite thanks to the bra’s seamless, yet supportive construction.

“The stitch composition is body-mapped, meaning that each type of stitch is placed specifically in order to create a better fit that perfectly hugs a woman’s body,” she says. The Mercury is made from double layers of sweat-wicking fabric, which means there are actually two straps on the left side of the bra. It also has subtly shaped cups, which further help hold the girls in place, and boasts four-way stretch technology. According to Laursen, this helps the one-sided straps “move with you and not off you” while keeping the bra secure around your torso.

Although the Mercury bra is recommended for low-impact activities like yoga, Pilates, and barre, I decided to give it the ultimate test and try it out during a HIIT workout. When I first put it on, I was impressed by how weightless it felt and was pleased to see that uniboob wasn’t an issue. During the workout, I initially felt like a flashing risk every time I lifted my arms overhead or did any kind of plyometric move, but my anxiety abated once I confirmed that the strapless side of the bra was staying put no matter what. I did notice that my upper boob was spilling over a bit around the armpit of the bra’s strapless side, but this is the case for me with most sports bras thanks to my breast shape—a strap usually just hides it better.

My colleague, Zoe, had a similarly uneventful experience when she worked out in the Mercury Bra. “I did The Class in it the other day and it was fine,” she says. (If you’re not familiar, The Class is another vigorous cardio workout with lots of arms-overhead movements.) That being said, we both coincidentally wear a size 32C, so someone over a D-cup might have a different experience. It’s also worth noting that the Mercury bra only goes up to a size 12 (M/L), although Avocado is currently developing the style in an XL, which will fit up to size 16.

Long story short, I was comfortable enough in a single-shoulder sports bra to make it a permanent fixture in my top drawer, although I’ll stick to wearing it as directed—for low-impact workouts. It’s also more of a special-occasion sports bra that demands to be seen, rather than something you’d hide under a t-shirt or wear to work out at home. But honestly, how great is it that we live in an era in which “special-occasion sports bras” are a thing?

These genius dressing-room tips will help you avoid sports bra-related wardrobe malfunctions during your workouts. And here are the best sports bras for those with DD-cups and above, according to the women who love them.

They’re comfy, stretchy, and can be worn with pretty much anything to (pretty much) anywhere. Given that there are so many options out there, though, when it comes to finding the perfect pair of supportive, squat-proof, high-rise, performance tights, it can be tough to know where to start. The Best Tinted Sunglasses for Summer Sports https://neeir.com/the-best-tinted-sunglasses-for-summer-sports/ https://neeir.com/the-best-tinted-sunglasses-for-summer-sports/#respond Mon, 19 Aug 2024 12:26:40 +0000 https://neeir.com/the-best-tinted-sunglasses-for-summer-sports/ You’ve definitely seen skiers wearing tinted goggles for better clarity and depth perception while tearing up the slopes, and tinted sunglasses can have the same effect for other outdoor activities, too.

According to optometrist Brad Brocwell, vice president of clinical operations for Now Optics, tinted sunglasses can offer numerous benefits for a wide variety of outdoor sports and activities, whether you’re running, cycling, or playing tennis. Or, you know, playing pickleball, since it’s all the rage. “Tint can reduce eye strain, decrease glare, decrease brightness from the sun, increase contrast, [and it can also] increase brightness in low-light situations,” he says.

Not only are they safe for you to use during workouts, but Dr. Brocwell says they’re recommended. “Tinted sunglasses can offer better comfort and visual performance during sports and activities, but they also offer eye protection,” he says. “This protection can be physically protecting the eye from moving objects, and also protecting the eye from the harmful effects of UV rays from the sun.”

When you’re buying a pair of tinted sunglasses, there are a handful of colors to choose from—each of which offers different benefits for different activities and lighting conditions. Here are the best tinted sunglasses to shop, depending on your specific needs.

The 5 best tinted sunglasses for your summer sports

While Dr. Brocwell says tinted sunglasses can be a personal preference, each color has different benefits. Here’s what he wants you to know about each, as well as the best options to try.

The Best Tinted Sunglasses to Try

Grey Tint: HULISLEM S1 Sport Polarized Sunglasses, $22

What Dr. Brocwell says: “Grey is the most common tint color. It doesn’t change the appearance of other colors when you’re looking through the lenses, but it helps reduce glare and eye strain.”

What it’s great for: biking, running, and golf

Shop now: HULISLEM S1 Sport Polarized Sunglasses, $22

Green Tint: NoCry Sports Safety Sunglasses, $13

What Dr. Brocwell says: “Green is another [option] that doesn’t change the appearance of other colors, [but it] offers a better contrast than grey.”

What it’s great for: biking, running, baseball, tennis, and golf
